Top 3 Questions about Proposition 4
Jobs
Proposition 4 would boost our local economy and create
jobs by leveling the playing field for local business and
keeping Spokane money in Spokane.

Quick Fact: Shifting just 10% of our purchases to local
businesses would result in $140 million in new economic
activity, 1600 new jobs, and $50 million in new wages.
Legal Disputes
Proposition 4 will not create endless lawsuits. This is
about establishing new laws that reflect our values.

A concrete Spokane example of why the opposition’s
claims are not true is the Human Rights Ordinance that
was adopted in 1999. When this ordinance was up for
city council vote the same tactics were used by the
opposition who claimed over and over again that an
avalanche of litigation would be the result if this was
adopted.  In ten years not a single lawsuit has bee filed.
  3.  People who use the program would pay the health-
care provider directly; prices set at an affordable level
  4.  Any administrative costs incurred by the city will
be covered by the fees paid by users of the program.

This is NOT taxpayer funded nor would it obligate
the city financially to cover residents healthcare costs.
